United Methodist Women

Purpose of the United Methodist Women: "To know God, experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, develop a supportive fellowship, and expand concepts of mission."

United Methodist Women meet in small groups known as "Circles" which meet monthly during the daytime or evenings. They study, pray and give service to the church and community. The women support mission projects, participate in church and community events, and expand their knowledge using a variety of United Methodist Women books and magazines. All women are invited and encouraged to become members.

Scheduled Meetings

  • UMW Executive Committee - Meets the 1st Wednesday of the month
  • Circles - Meet at given times on the 2nd Wednesday of the month
  • UMW Unit - The unit meets as a whole on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  The unit meeting is usually a lunch hosted by one of the Circles, followed by a special program.
Brunches are held on Saturdays in the spring and fall of the year.  A picnic is held in July and a Christmas tea is held in December.

Spiritual Growth/Social Action Retreat: Make plans to join other women for spiritual uplifting and fellowship each fall. Be excited about a day away from hectic life. Plan to be a part of this meaningful time for reflection, worship, and fellowship with God and each other. Be uplifted as you move closer to freedom in Christ.
