2914 SE MICHIGAN, TOPEKA, KS 66605 ~ 785-266-6555

Welcome to the website of Highland Park United Methodist Church (HPUMC), a vibrant and vital congregation in southeast Topeka Kansas. Though we have a special long term connection to the Highland Park area of Topeka, we have active members throughout Topeka and Shawnee County. We are located at 29th and SE Michigan (map).

The youth group is going to "Christ-N-Bowl" on Sunday, January 15th, at 9:00 pm to around 11 pm. This event is at the Gage Center Bowl at 4200 SW Huntoon. The entry fee is $10-shoes included. Registration is 9:00 pm and we start bowling at 9:30 pm.

If upon entry/payment you mention "HPUMC Youth Group," the youth get $5 back toward our youth group.

You do not need to be with our youth group to bowl. Everyone is invited members and non-members can all come. This is a good way to have fun and give something back to the HPUMC Youth Group.

If you're feeling a little cooped up this weekend, Christ-N-Bowl is still a go! Kerry has reserved two lanes and as of 12 noon, five youth are going not counting the adults so please join us if weather permits.

Souper Bowl Sunday!
February 5th, 2017

Let's celebrate the "Big Game" Sunday, February 5, by donating a can of soup (chunky or hearty). Help us "fill the tub" in the north hallway. This is the time of year when cans of soup go on sale in area grocery stores. So stock up now and bring your cans every Sunday until the "Big Game."

All donations will be given to our local food pantry, I Care, to help people in our own community.

SHARE - Wednesday Nights 6 p.m.

Our Wednesday gathering is about a better life for you and your family. We have experienced God’s love and power in our lives and believe help is available for finances, addiction, relationship difficulties, drinking, illness, raising kids, depression, loneliness, anger, and the list goes on.In Supper and Share, you will learn more about how to have the good, joyful life you hope for.

The evening includes time to talk with new friends who will help, encourage and support you like a family. Just like a family, we share food and laughter together and help each other.

Everyone is welcome! Come and share the hope!

Beginning Anew Worship Service

We are a all inclusive, very casual, interactive, different kind of worship experience every Saturday night at HPUMC Dawson Hall.

We begin each evening with a community pot luck dinner at 5:30 pm and then at 6 pm we start the PowerPoint presentation with an opening prayer, followed by an opening video. We share scripture, sing songs and the message is given by either Pastor Lynn Lamberty or one of the retired Pastors who are members of Highland Park United Methodist Church.

We want everyone to feel welcome and included, so if you are looking for a church home, or looking for something less than traditional in your worship, please come check us out. We might just be what you are looking for!

Dillons Community Rewards

In January of this year, the Dillons Dollars program our church has been using was replaced by Dillons Community Rewards. It became necessary to create an account with Dillons and assign our church to received community rewards every time you use your Dillons card. To continue to support Highland Park United Methodist Church, you will need to complete this process every January. Remember: Any fuel points you earn from prescriptions or shopping still go to you.

Come Join the Media Team!

We need volunteers to help run our audio and video systems during services and special events.
